The Gujarat High Court has implemented a state-of-the-art Enterprise Wi-Fi facility throughout its court complex, marking a significant advancement in its digital infrastructure. This initiative aims to enhance digital access for advocates and litigants, particularly during court proceedings, as articulated by the High Court in a recent press note.
Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal formally inaugurated the facility on August 15, signifying a pivotal moment in the High Court's ongoing efforts to modernise its infrastructure and judicial processes. The High Court stated that this development is a crucial step towards fostering a more accessible, efficient, and technologically integrated judicial ecosystem.
The newly deployed Wi-Fi system incorporates approximately 655 enterprise-grade Access Points, designed to ensure robust and reliable connectivity across the extensive court premises. The High Court specified that the network is constructed upon a high-density, centralised enterprise framework, which is intended to deliver secure internet access throughout the entire complex. This architectural choice underscores the court's commitment to safeguarding sensitive legal information while providing ubiquitous connectivity essential for modern legal practice.
Optimised for performance, the network offers seamless, high-speed Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The High Court has ensured comprehensive coverage in all critical user areas, including courtrooms, lobbies, the Advocate Bar Room, the Lady Advocates' Bar Room (Library), the Advocate Canteen, the Advocate Libraries, and the AIR Cafe. This extensive coverage aims to facilitate digital operations and access to online resources for all stakeholders in their respective working and common spaces, thereby streamlining various aspects of court functioning.
The High Court articulated that the primary objective of this facility is to digitally empower advocates and litigants, enabling them to access necessary digital resources and information efficiently during court proceedings.
