Mumbai: Economic Laws Practice (ELP) has acted as the legal counsel for Max Healthcare Institute Limited in its acquisition of Yerawada Properties Private Limited for a consideration of ₹200 crore.
The acquisition is a strategic move by Max Healthcare to develop a 450-bed super specialty hospital in Pune, situated on property held by Yerawada. The healthcare giant is reportedly set to invest a total of ₹1,020 crore in the development of this project, aiming to enhance its presence in one of Pune's most densely populated areas with state-of-the-art medical services.
The Legal Team ELP played a pivotal role in the transaction, conducting comprehensive title due diligence on the assets, properties, and approvals of Yerawada Properties. The firm was also instrumental in structuring the deal, including the delineation of roles, allocation of risks, and the negotiation of definitive documents such as the share purchase agreement.
