    In case of Harish Rana Vs Union of India.

    The Honourable Supreme Court bench comprising of Justice J B Pardiwala and Justice K V Viswanathan passed a Land Mark Judgement on 11th of March 2026 on Article 21 Right To Die With Dignity "Passive Euthanasia"

    Facts of the Case.

    A petition was filed seeking for withdrawal of life support "Passive Euthanasia" by the family members of Harish Rana a 32 years old man who was in a vegetative state for last 13 years his only life support was medical equipment. (In such cases life becomes more painful then death)

    The petition was allowed and asked for withdrawal of life support. Signifying Article 21 Right to die with dignity "Passive Euthanasia" is exercised in this case by withdrawal of life .
